Which Pennsylvania college offers strong pre-professional programs...and a top theatre program?
Of course there’s Carnegie Mellon in Pittsburgh. But within just an hour or two from Philadelphia, New York, and Washington DC, Muhlenberg College’s academic partnerships allows students to choose from outstanding accelerated pre-professional programs: a BS/MD with Boston and Temple, and Penn State Universities, a Public Health MPH also at BU, a Masters in Finance with American University, Engineering with the University of Pennsylvania, Dental with SUNY Albany, and a Law degree from Villanova. There’s pre-health advising and clubs for students on PA, OT, and PT tracks. And if all that wasn’t enough, Muhlenberg’s theatre and dance programs are consistently near the top of national rankings.
Like the students at that other college in Pennsylvania, Muhlenberg students are driven!
Muhlenberg lives up to its “The Caring College” moniker. Person-to-person defines the culture; in fact, students must interview to be considered for admissions to this liberal arts college and until recently, that interview had to be set up on a phone call. The lively culture of 2,250 students boasts sports, special events, and Greek life, but faculty and staff maintain close connection, guiding students to success.
What’s new? The Media Communications major which fuses media analysis with state-of-the art technology (plus a study abroad in Dublin) is introducing a Digital Storytelling minor in a joint program with nearby Lehigh University and Lafayette College.
